What happened (official timeline)
- May 19, 2026: Google announced it was moving Gemini CLI to Antigravity CLI, available to everyone from that day. Google Developers Blog (opens in a new tab)
- June 18, 2026: Gemini CLI and the Gemini Code Assist IDE extensions stopped serving requests for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, and for people using them free through Gemini Code Assist for individuals. Gemini Code Assist for GitHub also stopped new installations on GitHub organisations, and requests stop being served in the following weeks.

What it costs
Antigravity's individual plan is $0, with a variety of agent models, unlimited Tab completions, unlimited Command requests and basic weekly rate limits.
