Lovable alternatives in 2026: the right switch for your reason

Updated 2026-10-17 · 8 min read

Verdict: The best Lovable alternative depends on why you're leaving. More free usage: Bolt.new (1M tokens a month on Free). Lower monthly price: Base44 Starter ($16/month billed annually) or Replit Core ($20, or $18 annually). Mobile apps: Emergent. Cleaner React code: v0. You've outgrown no-code: Cursor or Claude Code on the code you've exported from Lovable. You want to make games: Rosebud AI. Lovable is still a strong pick for polished web apps. Switch only if one of these reasons applies to you.

First: what Lovable gives you (so you compare fairly)

Lovable Pro starts at $25/month for 100 credits ($250/year), plus 5 daily build credits with no monthly cap. Unused monthly credits roll over, top-ups cost $15 per 50 credits, and verified students and teachers get 50% off the 100-credit Pro plan for up to 12 months. Lovable plans (opens in a new tab) One credit balance covers building, chat, hosting and the built-in backend, Lovable Cloud. Lovable credits docs (opens in a new tab) Free: 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month, plus a daily chat allowance. Code editing and download start on Pro, while Git sync is on every plan. That last point matters: before you switch, connect your Lovable project to GitHub. That way most of the alternatives below can start from your existing code instead of from scratch.

Pick by the reason you're switching

1. “I keep running out of credits”: Bolt.new

Bolt measures usage in tokens. Free gives 300K a day and 1M a month. Pro is $25/month with no daily limit, starts at 10M tokens a month, and lets unused tokens roll over for one extra month. Bolt says bigger projects use more tokens per message, because the AI has to sync your files. Bolt.new pricing (opens in a new tab) Comparison: Lovable vs Bolt. Try Bolt.new (opens in a new tab)

2. “I want to see and learn the code”: Replit

Replit Agent builds inside a full coding workspace. Core is $20/month ($18 billed annually), with up to 30 hours of chat on Free Mode, $20 towards more powerful models and unlimited workspaces. Replit pricing (opens in a new tab) Replit asks for confirmation before any paid action starts. Replit docs (opens in a new tab) Comparison: Lovable vs Replit.

3. “I want the lowest monthly bill”: Base44

Base44 Starter is $16/month billed annually, with 100 message credits and 2,000 integration credits a month, unlimited apps, in-app code edits and a free domain for a year. Builder ($40/month, billed annually) adds GitHub integration and model choice. Base44 pricing (opens in a new tab) Comparison: Lovable vs Base44.

4. “I need a mobile app too”: Emergent

Emergent's Standard plan ($20/month, $17 billed annually) lists building web and mobile apps, private project hosting, 100 credits a month and GitHub integration. Pro ($200/month) adds a 1M context window, custom AI agents and 750 credits. Emergent pricing (opens in a new tab)

5. “I want production-grade React/Next.js UI”: v0

v0 by Vercel deploys straight to Vercel, includes Design Mode and GitHub sync on Free (limited to 7 messages a day), and its paid tier is $30 per user per month with $30 of monthly credits plus $2 of daily login credits. v0 pricing (opens in a new tab)

6. “I've outgrown no-code”: Cursor or Claude Code

Once your app is on GitHub, a coding agent can keep building it. Claude Code comes with Claude Pro ($20/month, or $17/month billed annually). Claude pricing (opens in a new tab) Cursor Premium is $30/month with 4× the usage of Plus, and third-party models are billed at API list price. Plus ($8) includes Grok models only. Cursor pricing (opens in a new tab) You'll need to be comfortable reading code and running a project locally. See the AI app builder comparison.

7. “I actually want to make a game”: Rosebud AI

Lovable is a web app builder. Rosebud is built for games: its credits pay for edits with its AI, Rosie (about 2,000 credits each), sprites, sounds, 3D models and skyboxes. Pro and higher add code download and Windows/Steam export. The Free plan starts at 8,000 credits that refill weekly in eligible regions. Who should stay on Lovable

Stay if your app is a web front-end with a simple backend, you like the results, and your main complaint is cost. In that case, try Plan mode (1 credit per message) before Build mode, and keep each Build request small. Lovable's own examples range from 0.50 credits for a style change to 2.00 for a landing page with images. Lovable credits docs (opens in a new tab) Business plans ($50/month for 100 credits) add SSO, role-based access and security insights if your team needs them. Lovable plans (opens in a new tab)

Before you migrate: a checklist

  1. Turn on Git sync and push the latest version.
  2. Export or note your database schema and any environment secrets. They don't travel with the code automatically.
  3. Remember: Lovable's docs say that when a workspace runs out of credits, building stops, AI features in deployed apps stop working and apps that rely on the built-in backend can pause. The published site itself stays live. Lovable credits docs (opens in a new tab) Don't cancel until the new host is live.
  4. Rebuild one screen in the new tool before moving everything.
