Why people look for Cursor alternatives in 2026

Cursor's current plans are Free, Plus ($8), Premium ($30), Super ($100) and Ultra ($200). Each paid plan gets a weekly usage pool for Cursor's own models (Grok 4.7, 4.6, 4.5 and Composer 2.5), shared with the Grok apps. Third-party models such as Claude, GPT and Gemini aren't included: on Premium and above they're billed at API list price from prepaid credit, and Plus doesn't offer them at all. Who should stay on Cursor

Stay if Cursor's own models do the job, since Plus at $8 is the cheapest paid AI editor here. Also stay if you want Cloud Agents, Automations and Bugbot code review in one place (Premium), or you already use Grok apps that share the same pool. Cursor docs (opens in a new tab) And remember you can run Claude Code inside Cursor, so switching editors isn't required to get Claude.

Before you switch

  1. Move your project rules to AGENTS.md. Devin Desktop and Antigravity CLI read it, and Codex uses it too. Devin Desktop FAQ (opens in a new tab) Antigravity CLI docs (opens in a new tab)
